Casa Colina means hill house - and that's where it is! Our chalet is located on a small hillock, overlooking San Antonio (Sant Antoni de Portmany), one of the five municipalities in Ibiza. San Antonio is one of the places ... best known by European tourists for the splendid beauty of its bay. Young people come here from all over the world to watch its spectacular sunsets from the terraces of Café del Mar, Mambo and other famous venues. We suspect you have heard that Ibiza is a Spanish island in the Mediterranean Sea, surrounded on four sides by water! At 570 km² or 220 square miles it is the third largest of the Balearic Islands and forms together with Formentera the small Pitiusas archipelago. Furthermore Ibiza is the Balearic Isle lying closest to the Spanish mainland (90 km or 56 miles from Denia, 150 km or 93 miles from Valencia and 250 km or 155 miles from Barcelona). But please don't swim! There are two more comfortable alternatives to get there. Ibiza is extremely accessible by both air and sea, depending on your preferences and where you are departing from. At Casa Colina we have two studio apartments which were refurbished in 2021 and prepared for digital nomads to work remotely from here. They are equipped with ASUS Gigabit WiFi rooters (AC1200 Dual Band/RT-AC57U) which are connected with an ethernet cable (CAT 7) to our symmetric fibre broadband (600Mb). The house is conveniently situated in a quiet residential area – 950 meters [0.59 miles] to the promenade of San Antonio and 700 meters [0.43 miles] to the next beach (Calo des Moro). Both units are separated from our private area, have their own entrance and the sole use of a huge terrace [9 m x 2.5 m / 30 ft x 8 ft], just shared with the neighbouring studio apartment. Please be aware that local law does NOT allow hiring out these studio apartments on short term basis to tourists as a special license is required. That's why we only offer long-term rentals for workers who want to work in or from Spain. You will have to sign a contract as the legal rental agreement according to Spanish law, i.e. Código Civil [section 1554] or Ley de Arrendamientos Urbanos (L.A.U.) as it is NO holiday rental.
