Our island house has 3 apartments. There are 4 private parking spots. There is a front yard that has a beautiful Mediterranean flower garden and a huge 100-year-old carob tree with 3 hammocks in its treetop. The house overlooks the ... sea and because of its southern orientation, the view is stunning especially in sunny weather (which is very common since Hvar is named the sunniest place in Europe with 2,800 hours of sunshine). In the middle of the garden, there is a traditional dalmatian stone barbecue oven and a 6 person table. There is a store (50 meters away), a catholic church (5 minutes away by foot), a couple of restaurants and cafe bars (some of them are opened whole year-round and some of them only over the summer) and a bakery. Other facilities such as a shopping mall, nightclubs, a ferry port, a post office etc. These facilities are located nearby in the towns of Jelsa, Stari Grad and Hvar which are 20-40 minutes away by car. The gorgeous beaches are 5-10 minutes away by foot and 3 minutes by car. We own a 3 person kayak on the beach which you can use anytime. If you are interested in hiking there is a hiking trail that starts 60 meters away from the house. Living on Hvar is a unique experience and you will never get bored of exploring its rich culture and history, as well as its captivating nature. Since Zavala is a relatively small village and there are only a few all-year-round residents, you will have all the peace and quiet you want :)
